VIR5 ELECTROMAG HOLD OPEN MAGNET WHITE

Ideal for hotels, hospitals, public buildings etc, the VIR series operate at 24Vdc - the same operating voltage as Fire Alarms.

Mounted on the wall or the floor, the magnetic coils bond to the armatures which are mounted on the door leaf - this keeps the door in the open position.

On receiving a change of state from the fire alarm (or similar source), the coils will de-energise and  remove all magnetism between the main retainer body and the armature, allowing the doors to close in line with fire regulations.

All the VIR door holders are fail-safe to ensure full compliance, and each model includes a test button to easily check the operation. All units are CE EN1155 certified.

The wall mount units are available as standard (VIR5) or vandal resistant (VIRE5), with an optional extension mount (SUPVR).

The floor unit (VIRP5) is manufactured in rugged cast aluminium.

The holding force of 50kg is sufficient to retain even the heaviest of doors.
