EA0501F-1D SSS HOLD OPEN SURFACE MAGNET

The Series 500 electromagnetic door holders are for use on self-closing fire or smoke check doors and can be interfaced with new or existing fire alarm control systems, smoke detectors, sprinklers or other safety warning systems.

Their principle use is to hold open fire doors to give unimpeded access but to allow the door to close whenever the fire alarm is activated.

The 24Vdc electromagnets have a holding force of 11kgs which is sufficient to hold the door but also allows the door to be easily pulled away from the hold open position when the current is flowing. The electromagnet can be surface or flush mounted to a wall, or fixed to the floor. The armature is fixed to the door.

The standard armature has a flexible mounting to ensure total contact with the electromagnet. Where floor fixing is necessary the surface mounted electromagnet is fixed to an "L" shaped bracket.
